Car Show Concerts Information

We’ve been receiving a lot of great response with regards to the first ever Iola Car Show Concerts announcements. There’s a lot of buzz brewing and we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback.  Additionally, we’ve received a lot of questions about the concerts, including pricing, logistics, etc.  Hopefully this info will help to provide a clearer picture of what’s planned for the event.

The Car Show is working with sponsor Muzzy Concerts on this event. Muzzy is a longtime friend of the show with decades of experience providing top quality concerts.  His interests and values align well with ours, making him an ideal partner for such a significant addition to the event.

There will be two nights of concerts, Friday and Saturday night:

Friday Night: A Night of Tribute

Show Starts at 5:30p

Resurrection: A Journey Tribute

On The Border: Ultimate Eagles Tribute

Saturday Night:

Show Starts at 6:00p

David Marks (Original Beach Boy) and the Surf City All Stars

Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone Closing Show

Here’s a promo video of the concerts:

These acts were intentionally selected because of their recognizable and iconic music. We think they’re a perfect fit for the event and our crowd of enthusiasts. The concerts are designs to start at a reasonable time and be completed by 9-9:30pm and cause minimal disruption to the rest of the Show.

The concerts will be held in our new Special Event Venue in the northeast corner of the show grounds near Keatings Lake. The area was selected because the lake provides a scenic backdrop, and the land has a gentle slope that provides a bit of a natural amphitheater.  The venue will be fenced off and have two gated entrances, one from outside the grounds and one from inside.

Early bird tickets are currently on sale from our home page as well as Two types of tickets are available for each show, general admission and reserved seating.  General admission tickets will allow patrons to bring a lawn chair and find a spot that suits them, while reserved seating will allow for ‘front and center’ seating on padded chairs that will be sectioned off.  Reserved seating will allow you to choose your section (A-F).  There is also an option to save on car show day pass price by purchasing a general admission ticket with car show pass.  Here’s the seating chart for reserved seating:

Early bird ticket prices are meant to represent a great value for these shows, essentially offering two quality show’s for the price of one each night. Just like the Car Show, the concerts will offer free parking, with bus/shuttle services from parking lots and campground areas to the event venue.  Concessions and beverages will be available in the venue area, no carry-ins will be allowed.  As with all outdoor events, tickets are non-refundable.  Early sales are going well and all signs indicate this is going to be an awesome addition to the Show.

The stage and venue area is being set up in somewhat of a temporary fashion. Being the first year, this will allow us to try out the venue to see how well everything works.  The hope is that the venue and concerts will go well and be enjoyed by all so we can work to further develop this in coming years.  We’ll try to update this information as more info is available and questions are posed.
